We help you to put together outfits\u00a0with versatile pieces \u2013 cleverly mixed with\u00a0an occasional eye-catcher \u2013 that can look casual for the day time but can be pimped up to a fabulous outfit for a night out\u00a0in town.\u00a0UMA is contemporary, sophisticated and edgy at times. But most of all: UMA dares to be true to itself. Because after all: \u2018Self confidence is the best outfit. Rock it and own it<\/b>\u2019.<\/p>\n

UMA was founded in October 2016 by myself, Loesje De Vriese<\/strong>. Mid-life (no \u2018crisis\u2019), mother of 3 (Casper and twins Billie & Oona), partner of Dries, optimist by nature, energetic and extravert, persevering and pragmatic. After almost 15 years as a marketeer in the technology sector, my passion for interior, design, styling and fashion got the upper hand so I decided to leave multinationals behind to start a local, small business on my own, in Mechelen, a city which offered the right environment for this venture. Beautiful objects, finding the perfect fit or combination, bringing out someone\u2019s best features,\u2026 all of this makes me happy\u2026so this was the logical next step!\u00a0 With UMA this passion takes shape through a unique combination of Scandinavian inspired and local brands.<\/p>\n
